The Parish School of Religion provides the “academic” aspect of the religious education program. The curriculum for those in grades 1-8 is the Blest Are We series offered monthly during the school year. Those in grades 9-12 meet for two six-week sessions or four half-day sessions using materials from Saint Mary’s Press.
The organization of the Blest Are We program is based on the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church: What Catholics Believe, How Catholics Worship, How Catholics Live, and How Catholics Pray. Young people in grades 1-8 meet for ten 2-hour learning sessions on a monthly basis beginning in September. Families choose the day of two choices that works better for them.
The high school program is a cluster program for those in grades 9-12. High school students meet for six sessions in the Fall or two half-day sessions and for six sessions or two half-days in the early Spring.
We offer a pre-school program, our Little Church School, for 4, 5, and 6 year olds (including those in kindergarten) on a monthly, seasonally-themed basis.
Adult education is provided during Advent and Lent and is announced in the parish bulletin.
Sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation is conducted during the school year and is in addition to the grade level program.
